Hi,
just a wild guess: does the caption of your combos contain an ampersand &?
I've experienced the follogwing: when I define a style with an ampersand in its name (e.g. "Anrede & Gruß") and use it as category for creating autotexts, the autotexts exist. They show in the autotext menu list...
Hi,
I obtained the code above by recording my Word options. But there are two things (sorry, my English is totally clumsy today, must be the weather):
- when recording you must click all tabs in the options menu. Otherwise only the code for the tab displayed is recorded
- you will have to sort...
Hi,
I recorded all the options I want and keep these macros in case I want to be sure that they are applied.

Hi Laurie,
when I have to work with time values I tenaciously stick to my rule:
calculate and display in separate cells.
This only because Excel still can not display negative time values.
Therefore:
if I cannot design the Excel sheets myself, maybe a user has to enter a time value in one...
Hi,
I do not quite understand the problem.
I do not know Access but this looks to me as if a query on a database is done by creating a new database importing the desired values.
This is unclear to me. Somehow (all?) of the new database's information goes into this Document1. But how?
Then...
Hi,
a by-note.
I would have much liked (but never managed in my actual software configurations) to let the non-printable characters appear in a colour different to the text. (I admit I didn't try very hard after Win95 and WinWord2, where you had to change the colour of the application's...
JustLJ,
maybe you noticed that Gruuu and I answered at about the same time. But it takes me a time to translate everything, and yes, I completely overlooked Strg.
It's the abbreviated literal German translation Steuerung of Control/Ctrl.
Thank you anyway.
Markus
Hi LJ,
a fast method:
- press Strg+# (in a German Excel 2003 it works)
or tick [Formulae] in Extras > Options > View*
- the sheet should now print out the sources.
The column width is set to 64 when formulae are shown, but returns to it's original size when values are shown.
Hope this...
Hi Monique,
1. I guess from "it is for a strange document" that we're talking about a Word file.
2. From "Do you know if it is possible to create a numbered list/outline that keeps numbering in order even when indented instead of beginning at 1 over and over as indented?" I guess that you want...
Hi Greyfleck,
if
- you use a non-proportional font (e.g. Courier New)
- and in each line (not paragraph) the characters from #50 to #90 are to be deleted
then
there is also a way to do this manually
- put the cursor after character #50
- press [Strg]+[Shift]+[F8] (at least in German Word, I...
Hi,
at first it seemed to me that you want to make some sort of dictionary. But the output file is called "ChangeLog". Your code and the output file's folder name again let me assume that you want to make a dictionary.
IMO two kinds of what Word regards as a word do not go into a dictionary...
Hi,
I'm sorry, but in my Word it is working.
At least it was, when I entered the formula. After Telephoto's answer I tried to reconstruct his problem. Then a lot of funny things happened.
Even after closing and re-opening the application Word showed an entry in a dialogue which simply...
Hi telephoto,
I assume that the Word table is long, but static - unlike Excel spreadsheets, where cell contents may change.
Then why not select column C, replace X by 1 and use {=Sum(ABOVE)}.
Note: ABOVE is a name for all cells in the column above the cell containing the formula. It is...
Hi,
a similar thing happened to me as well.
At home I have Office97 on Windows98, both German. There I sometimes created Word documents for friends. When I completed these documents on the friends' PCs (which mostly ran Office2002 on WindowsXP), saved them there and re-opened them on my home...
Hi all,
until today I've never asked a question in this forum. So please excuse if my searches weren't thorough enough. My problem:
For the last ten years I've always been using Word97 because of it's superiour spell-checking of my native language compared to the latter versions. But sometimes...
