Hi,
I have a really old access db.. it wasn't created by me and I'm not really a programmer so I'm struggling to figure this out..
It is used to store certificates, on one of the forms there is an small thumbnail of the document ( PDF ) when you click on the image it opens the PDF document...
Hi,
OK so what I'm trying to do is do perform a calculation depending on the TRANSACTION CODE... so in the example below the OOREC transaction are parts produced and SUNREC are parts scrapped, so for ORDER_NO 12345 we need to add the OOREC with is 150 and subtract the SUNREC 25 which should...
Hi,
I'm new to Oracle / plsql I'm trying to find a way to write a simple query but use sysdate as a default parameter, but this parameter can be changed by the user if necessary.
Thanks,
Mick.
OK I think I've got it working, I changed the Evaluate to be the Transaction ID group and it now looks like its giving the correct figures...
Still got some checking to do but looks a little better now.
Thanks,
mick.
LB thanks for the pointers..
Yes I had the groups as you said initially, but couldn't get the correct output so thought I'd move them around..
I think I have the running totals setup as you said, but I'm still not getting the correct QTY, see attached image, as you can see for week 15 2018...
LB, sorry I'm not following you, I've attached a basic report with data saved with it.

LBass,
Thanks for your suggestion, I've attached a image of how i would like the report to be laid out, I'm not sure a cross tab would achieve this?
But any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.

mick.
LBass,

Group1 - Date
Group2 - Initial ( the part type )
Group3 - Transaction id - this was just a test to see if I could get the count from this, but unfortunately not.
So I want to break the report up firstly by date, then by part...
Lbass,
Thanks again,i thought I wouldn't have to go into great detail with describing what other grouping I needed.. sorry for that, I'll add some more detail that may change the approach to this....
I also need to group on date and I also need to group by the part type ( which is just the...
Hi LBass,
Thanks for your reply, OK so I have the transaction count, but how do I use this to get the correct qty, I've tried a few different formulas but nothing is giving me the correct amount?
Thanks,
Mick.
Hi,
OK so I've got some data an example below
TRANSACTION_ID MACHINE_NO PART_NO QTY VALUE ORDER_NO DATE
1234 123 abc 5 12 123 17/07/2018
1234 123 abc 5 7 123 17/07/2018
1234 123 abc 5 3 123...
OK I think I may have gotten to the bottom of it ( although it doesn't make sense why )
There must be some blank fields in the data set... if I use maximum(fieldname)then it prints on all pages, this will work OK as the information will be delivery address, VAT no etc... which will be the same...
Ian,
Yes the printer is set correctly, I've also set it to 'No Printer' thinking it could be a printer setting somewhere, but again it is still the same. This happens with the report in report designer and if we run it through our ERP system.
I did try exporting to Excel but this didn't help...

Mick.
