I had the same problem. It turned out to be my "Client for Network" had be removed and PGP wouldn't start. Once I put the Microsoft Client for Network back on, it worked fine.

I may be a little over-simplifying the problem, but couldn't you make the <input type="text"> on the ID field into <input type="password">. This would prevent it from working with the back button.
