No Yrrk, We are archiving every night (not backup) using dsmc archive command line. Also we shutdown the lotus notes during archive process. that is why I have asked for a howto backup lotus notes in a few steps along with your recommendation. I am not familiar with baclient too!!!

currently my CD is assigned to let say to LPAR-3 I want to know what command I need to run to move CD or DVD to LPAR-7 Do I need to install any drivers on LPAR-7 ? or any ..... If possible could you please show the steps to run the commands else GUI pleae

Thanks Yrrk, I will start reading this book. but could please from your experiance high light your view of how to do the backup of lotus notes. currently we are archiving every night I know is not a right way to do this but I had no other choice because I do not know how.

I am using OS AIX, Yes I know the Query filesapce will list all filespace have been backed up on TSM but I want to know what files or dir have been backed last night and how much in size IN ONE STEP command line and without query filespace.

why and howto when I run dsmc query backup -fromdate=10/26/05 "*" It only display a couple of files looking at dsmschedule.log I have backed up over 2GB of space I need to know using query backup given date and "*" to dispaly all my last night backup could some one please reply
