I think I found the two suspects...one for DID target lines (that one stays) and one for a hunt group (that one was removed). Thanks for your help, I just didn't know where to look...I was looking for a ring tone section under the BCM manager.
One more minor question...any way to add more ring...
This is possible (not sure, not something I did, unless inadvertently). Any graceful way of checking for this, or just slogging through the lot of them? Thanks!
We've got a 3.6 BCM 1000, with T7316E phones. My boss is asking why only two ring tones are available, and I've had a hard time understanding how the BCM manages these.
If I press Feature * 6, I get "Ring type: 1" and "Ring type: 4". 2 and 3 are not available. Any ideas on why this is, or...
Thanks all. Just to update, the drive replacement went swimmingly, better than I had hoped. No telnet or any of that ended up being required. All we did was the following:
1. Power down the BCM
2. Replace the drive
3. Restart the BCM
4. Use the default 10.10.10.1 address and default...
Just to clarify, I need to do the serial connection specifically, or is it possible to connect and do the initialization using the default NIC address? (10.10.10.1)
I've not done a lot with serial connections and finding a null modem cable I know to be working might be a bit of a task, so if...
Hello!
We have a rather ancient BCM 1000 with 3.6 loaded. Yesterday we were greeted with a failed hard drive...VoIP phones, Unified Manager, voicemail, call trees and the door phone are no longer working.
I was able to slowly and unreliably access the BRU component to do a backup, which ran...
Hello,
I have a bit of a challenge. We have been using SBS2003 Premium edition as our main server for some time, and we are slowly peeling things off of it. We bought several other server boxes, and are using them for various roles on our network. We purchased SQL 2005 Standard and all...
Excellent suggestions...I will try and simulate that, see if it works. However, getting the company president to do that would be a bit of a stretch. I might be able to script something to do it for him but, then again, I'd have to have the current IP address.
I think my two remaining options...
In that case, does anyone have any recommendations on how to configure the network so I can avoid changing the local subnet? If I gave the BCM a public static IP address, would that work, or is that less desirable than a VPN?
Great...thanks for the info. However, I've got them all forwarded (the full range) and I still can't make a connection between the client and server. Any other suggestions? Is there another mystery port out there?
Thanks for the reply! I got into the BCM and it listed "PortRanges" or something like that under IP telephony. It was set at 28000 to 28511. I got into my firewall and forwarded UDP and TCP traffic to the BCM. Still no dice...you mention RTP traffic...do I need to be forwarding those packets...
OK, I am using a BCM internally...I forget the model, either 200 or 400. We bought seats for the VOIP access and want to use the i2050 softphone for travelling users. Problem is, our subnet is 192.168.1.0/24, a very common private subnet range. This makes using the VPN client that comes with...
