I have now noticed that the SQL is incorrect.
When the query is run in IBConsole, the same data is returned as in Crystal.
Any ideas would be helpful....does Crystal have a bug...or is it me????
Since my last post, I have used a different ODBC Driver for Interbase. I thought that the driver may have had some effect.
Unfortunately, this has had no effect on the problem.
I have now tried to create several reports using Alias Tables, with very limited success.
I am using Crystal 8.5 with an SQL Database. I have had no such trouble previously when using CRW5, 6 or 7 with a paradox database.
In the latest example, I am trying to print details of a hotel booking...

I will try to copy fonts across.
Does this not conflict with the fact that MS Word shows the characters correctly, and also the database fields show them correctly also?
I know that Crystal handles fonts differently, but am not sure exactly how.
All the reports are set to print to...
I have now also discovered that changing the font from Times to almost any other will cure the issue.
Why would some machines produce a different output from others?
What is the issue with this font??

I have since discovered that if you copy text from Word, and paste it into the text object, the characters are immeditely changed.
Also, if you then cut the text back out of the texct object and back into Word, the characters re-appear correctly!
