Hi all,
Hope someone can help.
I need to construct a mysql select statement but am confused as to how to go around it.
Basically, in php a search form is submitted that passes user data that needs to be searched for on the data in a table. The problem is that some of the fields on the form...
Vrag,
I have put a copy of the header online for you to have a look at. Go to http://www.ictechnology.net/allez and you should get it.
The ie css file is imported in but you will see where in the code.
Loads of other css in the files for other bits - I know it needs tidying up!
Thanks,
Richard
Thanks for that great explanation. Yes I certainly do need to read some more!!
However, when I use the css you suggest (you were weren't you??) the top element in the menu also changes it's background colour which I defintely don't want.
The hover class is fine as it's for Firefox like I...
Hi all,
Hope this post is OK with the TOC of the site.
I need to find a host for a site which will use video streaming. I'm thinking of a dedicated server preferably Linux with the streaming server already set up. decent bandwidth etc. vital
Anyone know of any they can pass on for me to...
Who owns the actual domain name? Is it the client or the other web design company? If it is the client, then get them to do a transfer request through the new host. Godaddy should contact the relevant people involved to check the transfer has been requested properly and sort it out.
Richard
ahh, right. Will this do it for all instance of the string or just one.
I suppose I also need to work out how to get it to strip out when the stuff between the speech marks is different for each instance.
Richard
Thanks for the function bu I can't seem to get it working.
Can you possibly give an example of it's usage in relation to my problem?
Thanks a lot
Richard
HI,
I am using tiny_mce wysywig editor to allow a client to change pages on their site. I store the page content in a mysql database, but because of a few issues I have with tinymce I have had to stop it cleaning up the html it produces. Because of this it is inserting some propriety code...
still can't get it.
OK, so in firefox, the class that works is #nav li:hover.hov1 {
background-color:#0033FF;
}
so I thought that using the same but with #nav li:sfhover.hov1 would do it for IE (because of the javascript replacing the hover with sfhover, but it doesn't. The background...
Thanks Vrag,
Yep, looks like I'm going around it in the wrong way. The SelectORacle link is great for explaining these things, thanks for that.
Ok, so now I'm going to have to get the thinking cap on and work this out.
Richard
Almost there, except in IE6 it's putting the background on the main mrnu item as well as the dropdown items.
Here's my IE styles
#nav li {
float: left;
width:100px;
}
#nav li:hover ul {
margin-left:-100px;
background-color:#000066;
font-size:14px;
border:1px solid #fdcb34;
}
#nav...
Right, still don't understand why the font colour wasn't changing, but I've sorted it by doing normal link styles in the main css. This sorts it out.
Now i just need to get the IE styles to change, both the background and the font colour.
Richard
Hi,
I am trying to get the font colour to change on a css dropdown menu but it's just not working. The background colour changes just fine but not the font.
Can someone have a look and see if they can see what I am doing wrong.
I'll post the code and explain where I think it's going wrong...

NIce looking site.
You seem to have your <h2> tags mixed up with your </h3> ones - easy typo to make when you are coding I know.
also I would look at your & signs and replace them with &. You also seems to have some empty spans in there too tags in there too. If you need them to be there...
