    switching back to dynamic solved the problem. Road runner uses dynamic so a static ip creates a lot of problems when the ip lease expires every day.

    It seemed like a pain at the time to set it to static. Yeah i guess i'll try the dynamic tonight. Also is it normal to not be able to access my router if the internet goes down?

    Once in a while my internet will go down for a day or so at a time. It even goes down when i am not running any programs that use the internet. Yesterday when i got back from work aim, mozilla, and ie wouldn't connect to the internet. I know this may be a broad question but is there anywhere...
