Eheh... I feel stupid. I forgot to try changing video acceleration settings, it only messes up when video accel is on full, so I put it down to half, and it works fine. =)
Okay, I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with my video, not the monitor or my card, but just videos (like .avi or .mpeg), I'm using WinXP Pro x64 edition, and all of the colors are messed up, like black is yellow? It's all very bright and hard to see. But then, flash, games, and EVERYTHING...
Hi, again. I have a NEC AccuSync 900 19" monitor, and when I'm just using my pc for normal stuff (browsing web, etc), it's fine, but when I load a game (tried BF2 Demo and Star Wars: Galaxies), it emits an extremely annoying whistling sound. It's not immediate, usually takes about 5 minutes...
Okee, thanks. I bought an OEM off of NewEgg, thanks again for everyone's help. It's good to know that there are still places on the 'net where people can go and actually get questions answered without sarcasm or rudeness.
Again, thanks.
Sadly, no, to both questions. I actually asked a lot of friends I have and most don't build their own computers up, and the couple that did were afraid I'd steal their keycode. =/ I've thought about installing Linux, but not sure how compatible it is and such with games and etc...
Okay, you're right, I did get the Pro upgrade version, and I got it a long while back, didn't even see it was upgrade version. So, since I can't return it, is there any way to install it from a different computer? I have WinXP Pro on this PC, can I install it from here, if the PCs are...
I forgot to mention, when it scans over the disc it says at the bottom "Loading information file dosnet.sys (I think it's dosnet.sys, not completely sure), and then goes back to the screen asking me to insert it.
I have Windows XP Professional, the actual disc, purchased and etc, so I want to put it into my new PC, I put it in and have it start up, etc, it boots from disc, loads everything in the windows setup, I put the Nvidia SATA drivers onto it as well (has no effect, tried with and without), and...
I'm still lost as to why this isn't running right... the jumper's right, and the RAM should still let it come up, right? I mean, it might not be the best for the PC, but it should still work, right? I figured out all the wires and such, but any recommendations? Like I said, most times it has...
This'll probably sound kind of dumb, but at least I'm asking, instead of just giving up.
I've installed all the parts of my computer, hooked up everything I needed, but I'm cautious as to what I'm supposed to do with my hard drive, I bought it OEM and I'm unsure as to what power I'm supposed to...
