We are using XI. We have a basic line graph with variable max and min scale values. When a number to be graphed is above the maximum scale value or lower than the minimum scale value, we want the graph line to show indicating that the actual value is off the chart but we don't want the marker...
We have created a series of reports against a test database. The reports include dynamic prompts. We went through all the reports and switched the datasource location to the new production database but the dynamic prompts seem not to have taken that change. We went on to Bus. View Mgr and...
Hi All.....
We are on XI and SQL Server 2005 database and Business Objects Enterprise.
We want to default a value into the first level of a dymanic cascading prompt. The prompt is:
User ID

Project
we want to default the user id so only the authorized divisions show up...
Thanks to both of you for the help. I'll try both and see what happens!
K - Sorry if you thought I ignored your post.....I didn't mean to. I was just trying to clarify and make sure I understood both. I totally appreciate the help!
Thanks again to both of you-
I'll try things out and let...
Sorry, forgot the database.....SQL Server 2000. The database field is actually string though it represents a number to our users. Sorry if I misled you.
I tried doing an ltrim but it didn't work?
This is the ltrim that I tried in record selection but it didn't work:
ltrim({F0006.MCMCU})...
I'm assuming you are using the parameter for record selection. If I'm understanding, you can use 1 parm. Here is what I mean.
You can ask for the 4 values and your record selection would be the following:
report 1 - (the one with the 4 vaues):
field in {?parmName}
report 2 - (the one with...
With your report, is it possible to ask for the first 4 values and then base your logic for the first report on 'in' the list then the second report could be based on 'not in' the list?
Hi All,
Using XI, I am trying to do record selection using a dynamic cascading prompt that allows multiple values. The problem (I think?) is that the database field is right justified. Some of the database values are 7 long with 5 preceeding spaces , some are 8 with 4 preceeding spaces. The...
I load the array with the break values of the group I'm using for the columns in the main report crosstab. I've been playing with using similar record selection but the tables that the sub uses is different than the main report and isn't easily brought together.
We are using version 11. SQL...
Hi all.
I have a situation that I can't come up with a solution for. I have a report that calls a subreport. In the main report, I have an array that holds all the subdivision numbers that were printed out in a crosstab. I need the subreport (which holds another cross tab) to use that list...
Thank you MisterMo and LB. I had already tried shrinking the the actual fields and font size but not the cell margins. Show cell margins did the trick. I checked every box that I could think of on that tab but didn't notice that one! Thank you so much. The report looks great.
This...
Hello. I have a cross tab that can be quite large. We'd like it to print on one page whenever possilbe but I can not find a way to move the cells closer together. If gridlines are on, you can see that the actual data cell has plenty of white space from the edge of the data boundary to the...
