The mailbox does not have the user in AD at all and when I right click on it all the options to purge or reconnect is grayed out.
How do I delete this mail box??????

I hate to admit to this but I don't know what middle ware we are using, I know that we are using 64bit encryption. Could you tell me how to find out what we are using?

There is such a program called magic jellybean finder and it may be able to get the CD key of the installation. It is able to do that on no server operation systems.
