    hard drive light stays on winxp

    My system had a similar problem with my new DVD drive and Win98, and I read about a similar problem someone else had with a ZIP drive. I have determined that both problems are because the IDE channel will not allow the new types of drives, DVD's, ZIP's, and possibly other types (tape drives?)...
