Looks like I forgot to mention, but I do have admin rights, so that actually wasn't the solution. In the long run, we reimaged the computer, and it was fine, but I'm still curious if anyone has any thoughts on this.

I know that this may sound stupid, but we've run into a similar problem here. We've had to reboot and have them start Outlook as the first program they go into. Also, I have seen it take a while to start, sometimes patience is all that's required.

We are running Office 2k/sr-1 on Windows 2k (sp3). Every time one of our users runs Outlook, it initiates an update for SR-1. When I log on, it does not run. I gave him admin rights so that it would update, and then I get an error about outcmd.dat being in exclusive use by another program...
