    Recently my 56k Lucent winmodem's (Win98se)connect speed has varied greatly. Was consistently 46.6 now anywhere below to 19.2. My laptop consistently connects at 44 on the same phone line. Just installed the latest winmodem drivers and changed out the phone cable to no avail. Any ideas?
