    I have a common set of lines that everyone uses. I have created one batch file with these in. You can then call this from your individual login scripts. If in future you need to make a change , you only need do it once.

    Yes, I have but it doens't fix it. It must be an entry in the registry somewhere but I cna't find it.

    XP Pro running extremely slow

    Try downloading the latest driver for your ZIP drive. There is a new one available. I removed my ZIP drive when I upgraded to XP because I found it slowed it down. It now works OK with the latest driver.

    XP losing my hard drive

    IT may not be anything to do with XP. I havd a similar problem which turned out to be that the drive was taking a long time to spin up to speed. It wasn't ready when the OS did its hardware check and assumed it had gone. Have a look in BIOS and set set the hard disk up manually instead of AUTO...

    Why not use the hardware profiles so that you can have a different profile for each site you go to.

    I downloaded a program called Menu Maker to try and discovered that it creates a link to the command it creates. When I click on the c: drive icon, instead of opening the drive and displaying the contents, it now launches the menu maker command. Does anyone know where to recify this? Presumably...
