Actually I did get the Nat to work, but I have a block of Ip Addresses and I need to setup a nat pool.
See Config below:
interface Ethernet0/0
ip address 192.168.10.4 255.255.255.0
ip nat inside
full-duplex
!
interface Ethernet0/1
ip address 168.xxx.xxx.xxx 255.255.255.240

Actually I do need to access a mailserver and a picture gallery behind the 2611. I want to use my public ip and have them translate to the Local ip's on my home lan.
I mainly want to use the cisco 2611 to control the traffic like you would with regular port forwarding. For Example: iI I need to...
My ISP allows me to have a block of static global addresses with the DSL router/modem which they provide. However I was wondering if it would be possible to use a Cisco 2611 "which has 2 Ethernet connections" behind my DSL connection to route the traffic to my local network.
I will be able to...
I found it, thanks so much. Oh! you did give me a link from your first rely. thanks again. I will let you know how it works out.
One more thing, would I be able to config the inside and outside nat on the 2600 to handle port forwarding in the same way as a pix 501. I currently have a pix 501 as...
Actually I have one ethernet and one T1 CSU/DSU wic card. Will that card be able to work or do I still have to swap it out for a ethernet card instead.
I will still aquire a the one port ethernet network module from ebay as you suggested.
Is there any way I can use my 2610 router as a gateway router. Can the internal T1 WIC be used as a wan interface for a cablemodem.
I heard that there may be a way to trick the T1 connection to accept the cablemodem connection.
Sorry, Neither of those routers have WAN Ports. The 2500 has the AUI and the two serials. The 2507 does have a internal hub, but it is actually on one interface, just repeater ports.
So, No a 2507 and a 2501 cannot be used as gateway routers with your cable modem, you need to have two interfaces.
I actually also found the same Cisco link, so I will take your advice and use the Cisco VPN Client.
Will I be able to get a copy of the Client on the Cisco site as well.
Thanks,
Cupidco
