    query for month ranges

Where do I insert that into my statement? I've tried several and it's giving me an error every time. Here is what I have: SELECT Partition (Month([Praecipe Date]),1,60,6) AS [Interval], Count(*) AS CaseCount FROM CivilTrials GROUP BY Partition(Month([Praecipe Date]),1,60,6) DateDiff ( "m"...

    query for month ranges

Ok, I've sort of got it working, except it is only looking at month, so I'm only getting up to 12 months aging. It isn't looking at the year to give me the cases that are pending longer. Is there a way to make that look at year and month for aging? Thank you again. Melissa Calvanelli...

    query for month ranges

Thanks Golom, I guess I should rephrase. I don't know how to write SQL, but I sometimes am able to "steal" code and modify it for what I need. I might be able to get this to work, but where do I put it? Do I create a query and then switch to SQL and paste this in? Melissa Calvanelli...

    query for month ranges

I have a report that requires me to show how many cases are 0-6 months old, 7-12 months old, etc., up to 36+ months old. I currently am calculating by hand, but would prefer to just run a report. Is there any way to do this by query? I do not know SQL or VBA, so I am limited in how I can set...

    Reports

I'm sure there's a better way, but how I handle these types of situations is to assign a "SortNumber" field to the table where the items are located. I then use the SortNumber to order the items in the report. Hope this helps. Melissa Melissa Calvanelli Assistant Court Administrator...

    create log of macro use

I would like to create a table that will update with the date and time that a certain macro is run, everytime that macro is run. I have the macro created, but how do I get it to update the table when it is run with the current date/time? Thanks, Melissa Melissa Calvanelli Assistant Court...

    Date Format for Report

Ok, I feel really dumb. Apparently the field is coming over as text from the other DB. When I changed it to Date/Time and put Long Date under format, it worked. Unfortunatly, this export is done at least once a week, so all the field info needs to be updated everytime it exports. I think...

    Date Format for Report

Yes, I did try that and it didn't do anything. It just leaves it in the 06/15/04 format. That's actually the first thing I tried. Thanks anyway. Melissa

    Date Format for Report

I am using Access 2002. Unfortunately, I can't email the DB to you. Our email system is locked down pretty tight. Thanks for your help. I'll just keep trying to figure it out. Melissa

    Date Format for Report

It doesn't give a specific error message now. But the text field has #Error in it. I also checked and I don't have any controls on the report called Entry Date.

    Date Format for Report

I put this in Control Source: Format([Entry Date],"dddd, mmmm d, yyyy") This is coming from a query based on a table.

    Date Format for Report

I have a report that is exported from another program into Excel and then imported into an Access Database. I have a field called [Entry Date] that is in the format 06/15/04. I need for it to appear in long date format in the report ie: Tuesday, June 15, 2004. I searched the boards and...
