For the record, mundia22's second suggestion of using a different SMTP server was the usable fix. We switched to using our webhost's SMTP server instead of our ISP's.

Forgive my lack of experience with these things (I don't do much with server setup, but I'm working on it), but do I need to allow dynamic updates on the server kicking back the emails or the one sending the emails? Same thing with adding an MX record: which server, or both?
We're running into an issue that involves sending email from anyone at one domain to another (domains/email changed for privacy in the sample). If anyone at ABC.com sends to XYZ.com, they get an Undeliverable return that looks like the one below...
