Crosstab Export Dates out of Order

I have a crosstab query that I am exporting to a spreadsheet via the transferspreadsheet function. The information reported in the query starts with September of 2004 to present. My problem is that the results start with 1/2005 in the first column, and then 9/2004, 10/2004, 11/2004 and...

    Sharing a secondary calenday

I am trying to do this same thing. I follow the instructions here and indeed the users can see my secondary calendar...but they can also see my main calendar. I do not want them to see my main calendar, only my secondary one. They clearly have permissions only to my secondary calendar (I also...

Crosstab query with dates need to subtotal by month

Yes, that did it. I knew it had to be farily easy. I did this: Expr1: Format([TrainDate],'mm/yyyy') It puts the columns in numerical order. The Date are "counted" and is the VALUE. Thanks very much.

Need to fill a listbox with optiongroup

I just figured this out by the way. Thought I'd post it here in case someone else has this problem. All I had to do was remove the brackets from around RowSource above. So each line would read: [Forms]![frmMain]![lstElements].RowSource = .....

Need to fill a listbox with optiongroup

I am trying to populate a listbox based on option boxes that are chosen in an optiongroup. The optiongroup is called frameTable. I have three tables (Table1 - Table3) that contain the values I want to list in the listbox. If you choose the first option button, then the stuff in Table1 will...

    DoCmd.RunSQL not working

I saw the post from 123FakeStreet, but the query I am running is a crosstab and it needs to be viewed as a crosstab datasheet. So it isn't practical to dump it to a table first as he does in his example. He appears to dump it to a table then open the table. That won't work in my case.

    DoCmd.RunSQL not working

I am trying to do something similar to this too. I want to create a query on the fly and then run it. It is a crosstab query. I understand what you are doing above, but what if the query doesn't already exist? I want to create the query based on what is selected from a listbox. The item...

I have both Access XP and Access 97 installed on a PC. Access XP was installed first. I have to have both versions due to an issue with an old database that won't work in XP. It needs to use the Text Import drivers but they are not there for Access 97. I tried running the SETUPCD to see if...

Using a listbox variable in a query.

I know I must be appearing dense here but I really appreciate your taking the time to help me out. I have a function that creates a string consisting of the actual SQL of the query. But if I try to run it using the DoCmd.RunSQL I get a run time error. I am guessing I may need a querydef or...

Using a listbox variable in a query.

I tried what you suggested and got the following error. "The Microsoft Jet Database engine does not recognize '[Forms]![frmForm]![lstElements].[Value]' as a valid field name or expression." Your post mentions to put the statement in the criteria field, but in the instance above I put it in the...
