    Event ID 4004 in DNS log seems to have gone away. I am still getting event id 102 "Unable to register COM class objects" from the Removable Storage Service. I checked microsoft knowledgebase and didnt find anything. Thanks, Matt

    Event ID is 4004 in DNS log. System log has event ID 102 - "Unable to register COM class objects", Although this was there after a couple different reboots. It was installed with sp3, and asks for it each time I add something. Thanks, Matt

    No I haven't demoted the old server. What will happen if I do, and how do you do it. From what i understand dcpromo will accomplish this, but I'm not sure what the result will be to the users on the network. Thanks, Matt
