    Why not set a scheduled "inventory" job to run just prior to your first backup job of the period? This way, BE will now what media it has and will also report the correct media id in the job log on completion.

    Hi IT247, I do a weekly report of all the job failures and one for job succeses. I mail this to a range of people in the orgination (who no doubt just delete on reciept!). On the reports tab, there is a vast selection of templates to choose from, have a little play and see if one of these fits...
