I am trying to group data by column labelled 'project'.
But, it is grouped as one step only. I sorted out the data and carried every step in Excel help page. Still does not work.

I once inserted an organisation chart in a visio file and deleted it later. But everytime I open the drawing Organisation chart toolbar and menu appear.
When I close the drawing, it pops up an error message with report to Microsoft dialogue. How do I disable or eliminate this Organisation...
There are heaps of postings explaining how to make dynamic range as Pivot table source.
I discovered that Excel has this built in.
In Excel, Insert>Name>Dynamic Range Name... does this.

I am trying to group dates to months in Pivot table.
It worked once. But, subsequently I keep getting error message 'Cannot group that selection'.
I read other related postings in this site and did exactly as given. But, still does not work.

I have Hlink to a Powepoint document. When I click the link, powerpoint document is opened in internet explorer.
How do we make that document to open in powerpoint itself?
Or for that matter, how do we make a document open in its own application?

In query, right click ina any field row and select Total.
Select Category and No in the rows.
Select 'Group By' in Category and No Columns.
It should display grouped on these two columns.

In a query, I use a field from another table as criteria.
If I use the table column address, it works fie.
But, when I prefix it with 'NOT' or 'NOT LIKE', it does not filter the records. The query displays all records.
Is NOT or NOT LIKE the correct syntax?

I do use range.
The range I use has 5 columns. Each column is made up of merged cells.
When I refer to cell to look up, I did give the actual column count. eg. 31 instead of 5.
Then I unmerged the cells and tried.
But, I still get this message
