    Q1 : No Q2 : No Q3 : (a) Just restart SQLBase (b) While waiting, fix query - high CPU isn't necessarily bad, but with a long execution time generally is. The implied lack of IO combined with long execution time might suggest a poor query design.

    Yes, simply do an on-line backup. Copy the files in the backup directory (.dbs and .log(s)) to a safe place.

    Are you still having problems with this database? If it is not encrypted it *can* be unloaded by a recovery expert.

    GCI CCN is returned if an attempt to connect fails (e.g. a call to socket() in TCP/IP fails because there's no such IP address "visible"). Most likely there's a problem with the SQL.INI Nik

    Might be a problem with the service setting - Check what account SQLBase is running as a service - it should be system, not an actual user.
