    Presumming a network here. I would first look at a your DNS and WIN's setting Ensure, the DNS pointer and the DNS suffix's are correct Ensure all win's servers are correct and teh are no problems with the 1eh enteries on wins server

    The best way is to restore the Domain Controler which failed, From a Backup. However if this is not possable, the server can be manually removed with the ADSI edit tool, Located in the support tools on the windows 2000 CD (This is a last resort, providing no backup is available) Hope this helps
