Im not exactly sure what you did but some of this info may help you out.
get into OK promt: if your using a sun keyboard hit: "stop-a"
if your using a PC keyboard hit: "control-break"
once in OK promt, type:"boot -s", stop whatever process you started and then get...
it sounds like your file system got corrupted. (obviously). for a quick and painless way to get it back, just do a "fsck"
you should be able to get your console into ok promt and single user mode.
just do:
boot -s to get into single user mode from OK promt.
then when the machine boots...
Does anyone have a good app or script that can use memory at the system level, I have created a script that uses user level memory using the Java JVM but I need something more at the system level

you should be able to get the ELF Header info from doing the file core.....but try gdb core, then once in gdb, type where and it will tell you where the core started

I am trying to get the cpu usage from a single program into my script but KI cant figure out how to get it. I have been greping it from the "TOP" utility but TOP uses too much resources and I would like to get the info directly from the OS instead.
Does anyone know how to do this...
try using a different host name...create a file called hostname.<interface name> and enter the new hostname in there
example: /etc/hostname.hme0 10.x.x.x
/etc/hostname.hme:1 10.x.x.x
