Thanks for the ideas. I mentioned WINS because I'm on x.x.34.9 network and A and B are on x.x.35.x network. For netbeui protocol to find A from my network, it looks to the WINS server to find out where the printer is. I'm not addressing the printer by IP address of A, just it's \\computer...- tabert

directory that cannot be deleted due to inode
I have a similar problem. I have files names in a directory that can't be deleted. When find runs on the nigthly backup, I get "find: cannot acess /usr/edi/data/set_out/07201500.04: No such file or directory (error 2)". I can't delete. As in your case, fsck has not fixed it. As a...- tabert
