Excel.exe Memory could not be read

Well, here is the conclusion of the Excel memory error story. I still don't understand it, but I will take success when I can get it. In Excel with the original spreadsheet open, I selected all three sheets in the workbook by Ctrl-clicking. I then went to Edit, Move or Copy Sheet. In the To...

Excel.exe Memory could not be read

I will give this a try. However, I can open the spreadsheet NOW with a different user profile on the same PC. Other users on other PCs can open it just fine as well. It appears to me to be a problem with this user's profile (and one other one on the PC. I may have to create a new user profile...

Excel.exe Memory could not be read

I have a Windows 2000 system with Office 2000. There are 3 user profiles on the PC. Each has Administrator authority. The main user has an Excel spreadsheet that will load part way, then give the dreaded "The instruction at xxxxxxx referenced memory at xx xxxxxxxx. The memory could not be...

    Insufficient system resources

I have a user who cannot open attached Word documents without getting this error - Insufficient System Resources. Unable to open application. He is using Office 2000 and Windows 2000 Professional on a fresh install, so I know he is not out of resources. The other odd thing is, if he puts the...

Unable to save files in Word, Excel & OUTLOOK 2000

Eraser has been tried, but to no avail. Apparently Eraser is not what it is cracked up to be since the user's personal information still exists when reinstalling Office. The problem has also spread to his PowerPoint, with this error: You don't have permissions necessary to perform the operation...

Unable to save files in Word, Excel & OUTLOOK 2000

The same user who was having only the Word problem, is now having an Excel problem. The Excel problem is different than the Word one however. Whenever he tries to save a new file in Excel, it gets named the same as the folder it is being saved in, regardless of what he calls it. If he saves the...

Unable to save files in Word, Excel & OUTLOOK 2000

Registry edit didn't work for me. I am not sure what using Eraser means, and I doubt the user does either, so that was not done.

Unable to save files in Word, Excel & OUTLOOK 2000

I have a user with almost the same problem. It occurs only in Word 2000 in this case, but the error message is the same, indicating that the filename is invalid. The user is able to right-click in a folder and choose create Word document. If he opens an existing Word document and saves, this...
