Have you used the attrib.exe file to check/change the attributes of the file after booting with the ntfs boot disk?
If not the attrib.exe file is abailable in \WINNT\system32 of any Win2k Pro machine. Copy to the boot disk. attrib /? for usage.
I've got a new Dell Latitude C840 with the Truemobile 1150 WiFi card which seems to be working fine except that I can't ping 10.1.0.21
The laptop is a dual boot Win2K and RH8 and it has a wired ethernet port also. I can ping 10.1.0.21 from the Win2k side WiFi & wired. I can ping 10.1.0.21...

I do want a single partition with Win2k and I was afraid that reinstalling was really the only option. On this system that will be a MAJOR undertaking! Lots of hardware drivers, downloaded (paid for) software, and configuration issues.

Here is the current setup:
Win98 - C: - 1st partition on HD
Win2k - F: - 2nd partition on HD
I want to delete the Win98 partition and reclaim it for Win2k and I can do this with Partition Magic 8 BUT...
drive F: then becomes drive C:
How do I handle this for Win2k ? Can it be done ...
