Hello,
I have to commit, I'm a vpn/firewall dummy, but I do my best to read a lot about similar problems and how to's.
We have following configuration :
Internet <--> Sonicwall TZ170 <--> 3Com Officeconnect <--> Domaincontroller (w2003) and workstations.
We would like to create a vpn...
No, I don't think there exists a Direct download for what you need. If you're volume licenser, you can download it from the M$ subscriebr site (i think).
Otherwise, yuo have a problem.
We're a team of 5 people who manages the accounts, so it is already a minimum.
But using a list to put a mark when you use the server is hard to do, as when we delete accounts, there is a free slot on the server and then the list is direct a mess.
Apparantly there are no 3rd party tools (cheap...
Ok, not every day, several times a week :-)
We create a lot of accounts with several people, so we pick out random servers to put the mbx.
That's why we need to know the amount of mbx for "balancing" the stores.
That's a good trick, but the problem is we need this every day and we've got 8 ex2k servers with the max amount of SG and mb stores used.
If we have to open every mb store one by one and export to an excel file, this means we have to do this 8 x 4 x 5 = 160 times.
I don't understand why M$...
I'm not a scipting guru, so I don't think that will be possible for the moment.
And about MOM, that's an investment we're definitely not going to make just for counting some mbx :-)
We're just looking for a small 3rd party tool.
Hi Steve,
The method you described is just showing all mbx. But you don't get a number of mbx.
That's the first thing we tried. The only solution we found for the moment is searching within AD on all specific SG and mb stores.
Hi,
I'm looking for some 3rd party tools to count how many mailboxes are located on an exchange server.
For example Exchange server A contains 100 mbx :
Storage group 1 & 2 each have 50 mbx
On Storage group 1 mailbox store 1 contains 23mbx en mailbox store contains 27 mbx...
Are there some...
Thx gkdog.
A linux freak :-) always proposed me this option. You can find also floppy versions of linux FW. But same as you, I don't understand linux, even I'm born in the DOS period, so it's not that I don't like the command line OS. It's just that I don't know what to do if something goes...
Thx for your input. I'm always used to work this way, the Server connected to the net is a standalone server (not on domain). I prefer a server for security over a workstation.
The reason why I posted my question is for server consolidation. Connecting a DC to the net is a high risk, but I...
Hi,
For the moment i'm using 1 W2K server with blackice/winproxy as FW/proxy with 2 nic (one net, one to a hub) and another w2k server as DC/DHCP/DNS. As I'm going to reinstall the server (w2k or w2k3) I would like to use only 1 server instead of 2. Would you recommend the situation to connect...
