    Finding Listview Selected Values

Excellent, I will check out MVC. In the meantime, I think I am just going to group by (and rollup the sums) my visit date and that should be sufficient for this particular application.

    Finding Listview Selected Values

Yes, Web Forms would be right -> Add New Item -> Web Form... I am just using one select button that I inserted inside the code, so I'm not entirely sure if it is allowing more than one value to be selected. I've used SelectedValue to get the one value, but I really need to get another value...

    Finding Listview Selected Values

I have been racking my brain entirely too long on this issue and I am getting ready to move on and work on something else while I put this on simmer... It would be a simple solution using regular old asp, but asp.net sure looks "fancy" for this new project. I am hoping that it is just something...

Space in a column name + ASP

Nope, I sure don't want to leave bread crumbs for someone else! Also, you are correct, it did have to do with the double quote issue. It was the translation of the double quotes into the ASP that was part part of the problem. Here is my "solution" that I just posted in a cross referenced...

ASP SQL help (Oracle table with badly named columns)

Good idea!! OK, so, if you are using classic ASP and you have to deal with badly named columns that you can't change (i.e. mine had spaces -- Item Number -- and also other characters like -- Item #), you would run them in sqlplus like tablename."column name"... Well, that is what was giving me...

ASP SQL help (Oracle table with badly named columns)

Never mind, it would be that the very next thing I tried after posting here worked!

ASP SQL help (Oracle table with badly named columns)

I am cross posting the post below from the Oracle 8i group because someone in this group might have more experience with this particular problem... OK, I am dealing with some tables I am inheriting that have column names with spaces (for instance ITEM NUMBER instead of ITEMNUM OR ITEMNUMBER OR...

Space in a column name + ASP

OK, I am dealing with some tables I am inheriting that have column names with spaces (for instance ITEM NUMBER instead of ITEMNUM OR ITEMNUMBER OR ITEM_NUMBER, etc). I can't change the column names as there are too many dependencies that rely on the names. I can write in sqlplus, Access, etc...

    A Challenge...

PHV - Good call! I am so used to just counting lines. Anywho, I switched it to a wc -w and I just figured out that a cat is much faster than a more for some reason. So that same file came out to run in 11 seconds. Not shabby.

    A Challenge...

Hi feherke - I didn't have duncdude's 53meg file, but I had a 56 meg file w/ approx. 630,000 lines in it that I ran on my server using my three pipes and it took less than 20 seconds (not much less, I couldn't read my dial close enough to tell if it was 18 or 19 seconds). So, I guess I...

    A Challenge...

I know this is an old topic, but I came across it while looking for something completely different. :) Anyway, is there a place I can download that txt file from? I'd like to give it a go on my Unix box with the simplest command I can think of (more file.txt |sort|uniq|wc -l) and see how long...

Email info found by running SQL

    Anyone??

Email info found by running SQL

OK, as it stands right now, I have an Access database that uses some ODBC connections to connect to an Oracle DB we have. It then runs a query to find specific information and, if found, emails that file to a specific user. It is in the task scheduler to run every couple of hours. What I want to...
