This is exactly what we have been doing...and it worked without a hitch up until SCO 5.0.6...and now It has got me ready to throw stuff...;)

One REALLY silly question... Are you by any chance using the SCO Box as a DHCP host? I have many clients that for some insane reason what to run teh SCO box as a DHCP host and problems are soon to follow For the Record...I HATE DHCP! Makes my life as a remote network analyst a living hell!

How about cat file.name | tr -d '\015' > newfile.name ? This strips the ^M

Try this...ps -ef | grep ns_httpd see if any of the Netscape Webserver componants are running, and if you don't need them kill them and then comment them out ot hte /etc/services file. I had an issue very much like this recently and this did the trick for me!
