We operate a central POP router with 50+ remote sites using mainly ISDN and serial.
I wish to block web traffic over these lines to stop users accessing the internet over there local browser.
I previously tried the following:
access-list 101 deny tcp any any eq www

At this point in time, cat5e can do everything cat6 can do, via new compression.
I'd be VERY suprised if you noticed a difference between the two media types.
Why not buy a few runs of cat6 and test it, to put your mind at rest?

I've setup a router to play with over ISDN, I'm using our pop router at the other end and all is well if I connect from that...
I.e. incoming connections to the router I'm playing with are fine.
I just can't make an outgoing call via ISDN.

About 9 months ago this was installed and we swapped from the previous 3com hub setup to the switched setup.

I've been tasked with looking into VLANs for our network.
We don't have any special departments as such, all users use the same apps apart from finance.
So, I was thinking of segementing off the servers onto a VLAN, the IT department onto another VLAN then by department...etc

Is there a means of replicating the TEI etc via some cabling setup so I can play with the two routers?
