Check Compaq web site for your models. There are some of then that do not boot from CDROM, except Recovery CD. To resolve the problem you probably will have to upgrade your BIOS. You can find this upghrade on Compaq web site too. Hope this help.- juliowizco

You dont say what operating system you have, but anyway if is Windows, try to completelly remove your modem from the system using Control Panel, then shut down the PC and fisically remove the modem and start the computer (this zis only for the PC clean the registry of everything about modem...- juliowizco

Networking problem with Win XP PRO.
