Hi Folks, have a strange problem.
Did not install this customer, or originally wire it for him.
happened upon a computer customer who apparently has a dead partner 103G (single unit- no chassis expansion) that is apparently DEAD..
(I toned back from extension 10 to the 66block,
The left side...
OK. I had (forgive me...) my partner, program our Partner 4.1 system... They forgot everything.
THE QUICK question is:
line one is auto-answering on second ring,
In what order do I want to disable the VM commands, and what are they?
It appears that the system is correctly forwarding the call...
OK:thanks stratagydk (Vendor)
Here comes a brief moment to plug your wares....
Can you tell us (approximately) the cost of new membranes?
and a link to your site? (presuming you carry them?)
thanks
More Data:
Turns out I DIDN't have Caler ID. Wasn't important enough at the time.
However I now KNOW that the lines attached have Caller ID.
(becasue I plugged a (regular pots) phone in, and looked at the display on it.
Now the lines plugged intot the Partner 2 206EC's DONT give me caller id...
OK. Staring at the Partner II chassis now.
L to R I now have (2) 206EC Module 4.1
(1) Processor Module 4.1
But no incoming Caller Id.
Oh Well. need to call CLEC and verify CID I guess.
Ok. I finally upgraded and now have new (?!) 206EC Units instead of 206E cards with my Partner II 4.1 cpu card.
I should auto"magically" get caller id info when a call comes in (yes, I do have caller id on my inbound lines.
Is there something (didn't think so), that I missed in programming it...
OK. I got the thread recently about what the codes that Partner sends OUT when sending signals to VOICE mail.
Now. Can someone explain what voice mail module
needs to send back to partner if (say... transferring a call)
after an AA message?
ie. trying to program my AA (VM) to answer...
So far the way I'd see it We'd have the following categories
(fwiw)
A) I just got this new system, where do I start (go to the John Shelton work...)
B) Programming (non voice mail) My Partner XYZ
C) A gentle Voice Mail intro (parts from John...)
D) Interfacing Partner with non Avaya Voice Mail...
BTW, I put this thread in here to help with FAQ releated stuff.
After finally getting/reading John Shelton's great Partner guide, I want to help improve it as much as possible.
BUT there is also room for an FAQ, of how do I?? with brief answers, which is not (currently) in his document.
Also...
OK. John Shelton has written a great overview of the partner, but it's NOT listed in the FAQ listing, so here's the link to his post.

The actual location of his pdf is...
Here is a link with several different Partner Maunals in PDF a guy sent me, very good.

WOW...
THANKS for pasting a link to John's FAQ link..
I have to make sure that this is noted in the FAQ section...
It's great!
(but there are still(so far up to 25/64 pages) a bunch of issues we can work on, to make sure the issues are covered.
(Such as: interfacing to an external voice mail...
FAQ-- Board Revision history list)
For example:
in a 206 board you need at least a revision XX
to get caller id on your system.
