    It sounds like you have a defective floppy drive in one of the machines. Can you email the file? It would eliminate the problem of floppies. They are notoriously unstable. Good luck.

    I had the exact same problem. What you have is an IRQ conflict. My 8330 was set to irq 5. Changed it to IRQ 7 and the device that was on 7 changed to 5. You have to do this using the Manual Change setting. Reboot and VOILA...sound. BTW, use the Win2000 drivers from the C-Media site. They work...
