Son of a gun I can't believe it but it was the fiber cable! Not sure how a plastic fiber cable can go bad but it seemed to be the problem. I checked and light can be seen throught the ends of the bad cable fiber cable.I thought maybe it needed to be reseated but it would not work.As you all...
Thanks i figured it was the exact same cable but colored differnet. I once had a nortel nam 3.1 go down. It was the power supply. I was about 8 hours away from any suppliers so i looked through some old computers. I took one of the power supplies and jerry rigged it to the nam and it worked...

Strange problem. I have an option 11 with 2 cabinets and a pri. The 2nd cabinet has clicking problems with outside calls but only the outside caller can hear the clicking not the person on the pbx. The only card in the cabinet that’s having these problems is the digital line card, the other...
If this is a SL1 your in for a difficult time! Ouch! Was this system put in by a major vendor. If it was on ocasion they might have a back up. Good luck!
Its been a while since I have done any pbx programming and I am racking my head on trying to remeber how to change the Caller I.D. name of the phone system when a caller on the pbx calls out.the customer has a option 11 with a PRI .Any help would be much apreciated.
We are trying to change the customers system to MPLS network . When we try to change the I.P. address we get this error message "Exception occurred when trying to connect Detector 'BCMDetector' cannot determine the device type for xx.xx.xx.xx".Any ideas how to rectify this.
I am assuming you mean to create a virtual dn that is directed to the customers other site that the reception simply transfers the caller to ,is this correct ?
Customer wants to transfer calls to the other location seemlessly. DID seems to be the easest. Think of it this way ,caller calls company, receptions transfers call to the call forwared D.I.D. call gets forwared with the calling party not knowing.
Trying to set up d.i.d.s in 2 locations for transfers of calls.Haven't tried this yet but it seems the cheapest solution for the customer. Is Line redirection the best way to do this or is there a better way ?
