Right click on a short cut for the game
Then click on the compatibility tab
Then select win98 compatibility
or what ever OS

WIn XP is really good just give it a chance

They are not compatible with XP or 2000 i would recommend to upgrade to a newer sound card. It will start to work
If it is ISA then it really won't work
Windows 2000 and Xp hate legacy stuff ( old stuff)

It looks like you may have a cooling problem,
And have you converted your drive to NTFS filing system
it is really good
CLick on the command Prompt button
Then type at the C;\ prompt
help convert or convert help

You can not use a 640x480 resolution on windows XP or 2000 MS baned this practice. Just upgrade to a vetter monitor and/or video card. If your system can run XP then the video card is probably ok
If the monitor can go higher that 640x408 then itis the grafics card

Well forgetting a password is a big thing.
Is there any more administrors on the computer and mabey you would change it by going through Nt server of win2k server if you have a roaming profile setup.
Other that that i can not help you.
