    'Fraid not, I'm using AI 9.0. Is there any other way? As you probably guessed, my naive thought that just opening the image in AI would work didn't.

    Hi, I've just copied and pasted an image from Photoshop, and need to use it to get color samples for the work in Illustrator. When I use the eye-dropper, it just gives me a blank color. I realize that I could just open the image in Illustrator, but am just wondering for future reference...
