    Hi Navin Navin, try down loading the sun admin books for all three patrs. I down loaded books written for Solaris 8. I practicesd solaris prep for version 6 and 7. at that time there was no sessions for solaris 8. Upali Pieris

    Follow the steps below. ---------------- # cd /etc # vi defaultrouter 172.19.11.5 :wq! ------------- # route -f # netstat -nr and see if the default router is there. I guess the easiest way is this. Good luck

    Packages have their default directories. (/opt etc) If you want to add the package on to the new hard disk, change the default value by changing the basedir.(/var/sadm/insatll/admin/default)
