Thanks for that...
the issue is that I don't want to see the details at all - either of the main report or the subreport. So when I do all you say - it works if I don't suppress the details in my main report, but doesn't if I supress the details in my main report
There are some fields in the...
Hi,
Using Crystal X
Report is grouped 3 levels
I have a subreport in the details section that passes a variable to the main report.
In group 3, I have a formula that calls this variable. When I show the details - the value in group 3 is correct. When I hide or surpress, the value is 0
Why?
SELECT
[Item Number],
[Item Date] AS StartDate,
COALESCE((SELECT MIN([Item Date]) FROM (select [Item Number], [Item Date],[% OFF MARKED PRICE]
FROM [item master file history]
where [item number] like '86%9355'
And [% off marked price] is not null) as a WHERE...
I should have mentioned - my bad - that this table has more than 3 rows, and this 'item number' has more than 3 rows. Any time there is any update (on any of 20 other columns) the date is recorded. so if I remove the 'null' from the where clause:
SELECT [Item Number], [Item Date], [% OFF...
that returns this:
869000000009355 2006-12-18 00:00:00 2006-12-18 00:00:00.000 70
869000000009355 2007-01-08 00:00:00 2007-01-08 00:00:00.000 80
869000000009355 2007-02-26 00:00:00 2007-02-26 00:00:00.000 90
the 'end date' needs to be 1 day less than the start date of the next row...
Close.... here's the scenario....we can go in and increase the discount amount on product - every time we do, the day is recorded. We record inventory on different count dates - and depending on that count date has to be between the start and end dates.
So your query returns the end date as...
I'm trying to create a start and end date so that I can have a better idea of history.
When I run this query:
SELECT [Item Number], [Item Date], [% OFF MARKED PRICE]
FROM item master file history]
where [item number] like '86%9355'
And [% off marked price] is not null
order by...
Can anyone tell me the benefits of using a stored proc vs a table vs a view. What are the benefits of using one over the other and what are the drawbacks of using one over the other?
2k sorry - can't wait till I get to try 2005 - I hear there is much improvment - we are currently testing it which I really hope will get rid of this issue. One thing I did try was removing the PK and using a identity as the PK and it did seem to pick up processing time quite a bit?
I'm new enough to cubes - so what would be the most efficient way to set up such a large cube - there are only 3 measures. The fact table is daily sales by location. To this table there is the join to the time dimension that allows users to drill down to the day, location dimension, and a...
When the fact table has a primary key on 4 columns would this slow processing down? What is the most 'efficient' object type to process from ie table or view? I have a cube that comes from a partitioned view and it processes in approx 30 minutes with 42 million rows of sales data. When I...
I've looked and looked....How do I create a calculated member of % change based on any dimension?
I have a sales cube that has the following dimensions:
Product
Quarter
Period
Year
Location
The measure is 'Sales'. I would like to apply the % change to any of the above dimensions based on any...
Thanks for both of your help but for future users, this is what I did - I created a .cmd file with the following lines of code
<startCMS.cmd>
net start "Central Management Server"
exit
and...
<stopCMS.cmd>
net stop "Central Management Server"
exit
I have pointed the DTS package 'run process'...
I was thinking that was our solution - I've tried to use a DTS package that would disable the CMS after a certain time at night an have the same type of package that would either enable the CMS or restart it - I can't seem to get the package (ETL tool prepacked with SQL Server) to actually stop...
We currently use Crystal Enterprise 10. All of our reporting is hooked to Microsoft SQL server. Everything runs fine with the exception of users logging onto Crystal and running reports before overnight jobs are finished (we span a couple of time zones) Any suggestions on how to block user...
