I managed to resolve this problem by clicking the mail icon in the control panel and using the Outlook import facility from there. I simply selected "import from another programme or file" and directed the wizard to the folders location.
Thanks AirCon for you help, really appreciate it.

Hello Mr Fixit and all,
Sorry I haven't been back to you sooner but I was a bit busy over the last couple of days. I'm pleased to say I have now resolved the problem with my daughters Computer. To save the personal data, not backed up, I connected the IDE Cable from the secondary master in my...
Thanks Mrfixit for your response, got a little more information on the problem now.
The Computer has a Windows 98 recovery disk only and a Windows ME upgrade disk. It will not boot with a Windows ME Boot Disk but it will with a Windows 98 Boot Disk.

Can I put the ME upgrade disk in...
My daughters PC has a corrupted Vmm32.vxd file and she cannot boot up. I understand this can be replaced using prompt command. Can anyone give me some guidance on how this is done.
The system is ME with a recovery disk only.
Thank you.
Thanks for responding again.

I should have said that the Computer is a Pentium 111.
The CD-Rom is the first boot device in the Bios but it will not boot from there so I thought I'd download and expand to the 6 floppy disks and try that.
Perhaps it is just a bad floppy so i'll change that and try again.
Many thanks for...
I am doing a clean XP Pro install on a Gatway W98 GP7-550, 550MH's CPU and 128MB Ram, previously running W98. I downloaded 6 boot Disks from Microsoft and successfully loaded 4 of them and then got the following error message when loading No.5:
"File ntfs.sys caused an unexpected error...
I agree with all the above posts. I would just like to tell you about a little programme called Cookie Wall I recently installed.
