    Thanks for the reply. But the only software I run are: Office, jdk, acrobat reader, rational rose + a few more. I still think it is hardware related but i'm not sure.

    I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptop, which I use windows millenium on. The problem that I have is that when I try to startup I only get the initial WinMe startup image, and then my machine reboots itself.
