I don't think those values are large. My Outlook.pst file is 40 mb (I Archive on a regular basis - my Archive.pst file is 188Mb), and I don't have the problem you have. Have you tried the MS Office website? Perhaps there is something in the FAQ's?

Another useful tip regarding Defrag. The Win ME version is a lot faster than the Win 98 version (maybe the only good thing about ME?). Replace your 98 version if that's what you are using) with the ME version and see the difference. Oh yes; Use Safe mode too.
