Problem solved.
I've been programming for 25 years. it's nice to
get irritated (pissed off) once in awhile when
things don't work. Live and learn.

In VB6, when performing this query
"Select Count(timelogged) as LastModified from COAuditLog WHERE timelogged>10/2/2008 AND tablename='customer'"
The above statement produces this error.

You may have already found the answer to this, but it is
my belief that the Net Framework Peachtree 2007
requires is not compatible with Linux.
However.. there are some groups playing with a
port/emulator of the net framework on Linux.

Probably not related, but I had Peachtree 2005
installed, and then ALSO installed Peachtree
2007 on the same computer.
If you do not know, Peachtree 2007 runs a Pervasive
dbengine on the client. When active, the client
icon sits next to the status bar clock (bottom right
of screen).

I have acustomer who I am going to convert from
Quickbooks Enterprise to Peachtree Quantum.
Peachtree/Sage indicated the speed of Quantum
starts to be more obvious when 5 - 10 users
are concurrently using the application.
Any chance you did any testing with multiple
user conditions??
We seem to have this working again.
meaning..we are creating invoices in the Peachtree 2005
sales journal programmatically (using vb 6).
I'll post a vb example over the weekend, and try to
add meaningful comments.

We use DDE to create invoices in Peachtree 8.
Peachtree 2005 allows the creation of the the
DDE transactions, but will fail when saving.
eg: "file=salesjournal,field=nextdistribution, save"
