The 7200 series router uses 8 N 2, not the normal 8 N 1. I thought it was odd myself but hey thats what Cisco wants. I havent tried the aux port but I do have a female adapter also. I'll give that a shot on monday.
I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem before and what they did to fix it. I just took over a 7206 router from a previous administrator and I tried to get into the router through the console port, but nothing comes up. I have hyperterm set to the usual (9600,8,N,2) and it shows connected...
Also dont think that a point to point network is very private either. I'm a central office technician and we hold thousands of point to point T1's and every one of them has an acces point for monitoring so we can trouble shoot any problems. Any consideration of privacy on the internet has to...
I have a cisco 2500 series router with 2 eth int, and 1 serial wan link to an external csu/dsu to a full T1. Do I need to set the clock rate to 1544000 on my serial interface or not?
thanks Greg
First off you can add as many hubs as you would like, but there will come a point where your collision and broadcast domain is so large your network will be unusable. I would have to say that 4 hubs off of 1 switch port is probably already suffering from collisions and broadcasts. With massive...
I have a Cisco 2524 router with the T1 wan interface which uses a RJ-48c port. The drop from the CSu/DSU is cat 6 cable, with a RJ-45 connector at the CSU/DSU. How do I wire the CSU to the router. Do I use the pin out scheme of RJ-48c with a RJ-45 connector or does RJ48c require special...
go to Cisco.com and in the search box type "configure router nat" and it will give you a step by step tutorial on how to config the NAT pool.

OK here's a really stupid question that I'm almost embarrassed to ask. I'm configing a clients cisco 1720 router, they have 1 static IP address via a T1. They chose to use cat6 and rj-45 connections (I know, not my idea). now here's the question. I'm going to config the DHCP server on the...
I have a question. I recently let an individual use my computer for a couple of months while he stayed at my house and I think he was into some pretty shady things. Is there any way to access his cached email from yahoo.
I appreciate any help, Legion
