Hello
Have a look to "Host Systems Attachement Guide " at : http://publibfp.boulder.ibm.com/epubs/pdf/f2bhs05.pdf.
This book has a section "Support for fibre-channel boot" describing what is needed for booting.
Looking at your configuration ( P650 with LP9802 ) , you need just firmware...
Hi
Link to IBM HACMP documentation guides :
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/pseries/library/hacmp_docs.html
ESS disks with vpath it's implemented in HACMP 5.1.
Bye
No, if it's a shared volum goup importvg will be do by HACMP in fallover. If it's a concurrent volum group changes are seen immediately by other nodes. Use just smit hacmp menu for adding it. It's not a mandatory but you will see immediately if a problem exist (normally ;-) ) . After adding disk...
Hi
For adding disk in HACMP use smit (smit fastpath is "cl_vgsc"). You will see your volum group by ressource group. Select your volum group and you will see all disk you can add to it.
A disk can be added only if it is seen by all node integrated in volum group's ressource group. Configure...
Thanks but i know this software and on AIX 5.2 i prefer use SDDPCM (i can use MPIO feature builtin AIX 5.2 instead vpath). Only one drawback ( for me ;-) ) is no command to release disk lock is packaged with.
Sorry for not answering before
I don't know GigaRaid/8000 hardware but can you see your physicals disk in your raid configuration ? Try smitty disk_array and search if you can find reference to your hardware.
For me, i think your disk array is misconfigured. It's for that you cannot acces...
clstat can be used for that. It has a X11 interface and web interface. You can also give a try to HAview Cluster monitoring if you want something more sophisticated.
My advice is use importvg for retrieving your data . Don't try to re-create vg you will lost all your data ( at least LVs information)and after you will have great difficulty to retrieve them.
What is error's message when you try importvg ? Your raid configuration is ok ?
Hi
thanks hfaix for this technic :-)
Stephnane u can add your mail relay in /etc/sendmail.cf : DSmyrelaymailhost
However, it is a global setting for all your system.
True but i have seen some things in redbook "HACMP 5.1 -Administration and troubleshooting guide" as that :
"Set this flag to true if you want HACMP to reacquire
the resources during a startup process. This could
happen if, while the cluster services were stopped
with a forced down option, you...
Hi,
You must have a software with this filesets in prerequisites. I have had that because i had forget to remove ADSM package. You can use too lslpp to see some older package not removed.
Good luck
Hello,
I have a problem because sometime when i reassign a ess disk to a new machine this disk is locked. On AIX 4.3.3, i can use the command lquerypr(packaged in devices.sdd.43.rte) for releasing disk. But this command is not chipped with sddpcm. Someone know if some replacement exist or a...
Hi,
It's maybe stupid but when you restart hacmp on your failed node do you specify you don't want reacquire resources ?
In smitty clstart, field "Reacquire resources after forced down ?" must be to "false"
Bye
