I have an email in with Veritas support that is now over a week old, no response whatsoever. HOWEVER, after just 3 days of posting on this forum and working with Justin2000 and SQLBill, my problem is solved!!!

Rebuilding the MDAC seems to have worked!!!! I was able to run a manually started test backup and a scheduled test backup this morning. I won't feel 100% sure until this evening when my regular scheduled backup tries to commence, but it looks good!

I am showing MYSQL$BKUPEXEC as running Automatic and LocalSystem login, all the other backup exec services are running Automatic and using the Admin login.
I ran the Repair option from the installation disk, and get the same issues.

1. I scheduled a job to run at 8:00.
2. At 8:00 I get the following Windows Events in Application for BKUPEXEC:
EVENT
Adamm Database Error: Connection Lost!
