    Sounds like you have done a pretty comprehensive job to me. The H/D swap is the real head masher. I'll give it some thought and try to get back to you.

    You will need to download and install the "VIA 4in1" drivers for your chipset. Depending on your other perirherals ie. graphics card. You may have to pick an older version. I would not think this would solve your stated problem, but is something you need to do anyway...

    I've had this problem with a Athlon 900. Tried memory, PSU, drivers etc. Eventualy narrowed it down to either mobo or processor. I borrowed a Athlon 850 and hey presto stable as a rock. Hope this helps

    If you have an AGP card fitted, replace it with a PCI card, or vice-versa. Check bios set to innitialize AGP or PCI, in chipset advance features. Set bios to the prefered form and voila. Hope this helps.
