A-o-a Actually I did not installed this RS/6000 Machine, and more over i use to work with open source like LInux and FreeBsd, AIX seems to be different from them, it has been just few days that i have start looking after this AIX system, the first thing i figure out is the swap... -

A-o-a Yep surely I can.. one of them is : # svmon /unix is not in xcoff format /unix does not match the executing kernel. Exiting, as svmon can not obtain valid kernel addresses. vmtune, vmmon, etc do not work may be the package is not installed. Regards Mohsin -

A-o-a I am using AIX 4.3.3, my system got very slow, when i issue command vmstat, it gives me the following error $ vmstat vmstat: knlist failed$ and with many other system moniteringa and tuning commands.. it give different errors any help! Regards Mohsin
