anyone have a script that will query the local groups and list their contents?
net localgroup will list the groups, but not the contents.
the script will run on 2000 and xp

i am creating an SMS package for a piece of 3rd party software. the package works fine on 2000 and XP, but fails on 98se.
i have installed windows installer technology. (instmsiA.exe)
when i double click the msi file the installation begins as expected. but when i try to call the msi file...
SP4 will fix this. after you apply sp4 you will be able to browse for domain groups as well as users.
for some reason you still get that error message but the group is added and the users have access.
wait a second, are you sending this package to more than one machine or just the machine that has S-1-5-21-73586283-1580818891-1957994488-1636.
you do know that this key exists only on that one machine. those sequence of numbers is a SID, this is unique.

yeah, all you have to do is rebuild the domain controller and make it a member server. sms will automatically attach to all dc's in the domain and make them logon points
not sure i understand what you are trying to do. are you tring to create an exe or bat from scratch or do you already have one and are just trying to push it out. The program properties automatically browses for exe, you just have to change it to all files.
if you know how to write a bat file...
You will have to remove the domain from you windows networking logon client installation. However, this will have adverse effects b/c all DC's for that domain will no longer be logon points.
